Sam Estep PE, LEED AP
Sam Estep leads our Virginia Beach office and our Federal practice, fostering collaboration among the multiple discipline and market leaders in that location to advance Clark Nexsen as an ideas-based firm. With an extensive background in the federal market, Sam has nearly 40 years of experience managing large, complex projects for clients including NAVFAC, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Coast Guard, Department of Homeland Security, and other federal agencies. During this time, he has developed specialized expertise in antiterrorism and force protection design.
Additionally, Sam has served on the board of the Virginia Society of Professional Engineers and is part of Clark Nexsen’s senior management team, which includes our executive suite and 14 member board. Sam earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, going on to complete his Master of Engineering at the University of Virginia.
In his spare time, Sam enjoys being with his family. He, his wife, and their two sons can often be found cheering on the Hokies at Virginia Tech football games and cruising the waters of Virginia Beach.
