Richard Fort  AIA, LEED AP

Richard Fort has successfully led business development for Clark Nexsen from the Asheville office for more than twenty years, pursuing work that fulfills the firm’s vision and design aspirations. Through development of community and regional relationships, Richard has been instrumental to Clark Nexsen’s success and growth. Active in Asheville, he currently serves on the City of Asheville Board of Adjustment, the board of directors of the YMI Cultural Center, and the Pack Place board of directors.

As a design leader, Richard’s experience includes educational, cultural, retail, urban mixed-use development, housing, and campus master planning. His work includes a prototypical retail store for the Asheville Board of Alcoholic Beverage Control, which received an AIA Asheville Design Award. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Mississippi State University.
