Dwayne Mitchem is the Bridge Inspection Practice Lead with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science of Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech. With 16 years of bridge engineering experience, Dwayne quickly worked his way from an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to a professional civil engineer registered in Virginia, North Carolina, and West Virginia. His education revolved around designing and constructing several types of structures, including those made of steel, concrete, and wood. His work primarily focuses on performing engineering duties in inspecting, rehabilitating, maintaining, and managing bridge and road systems. His clients range from private bridge owners to the Virginia Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration.
