Chad Poultney PE, LEED AP
Chad Poultney brings 25 years of experience to his role as principal with Clark Nexsen. As a structural engineer with previous experience in the construction industry, he is a resource for design teams throughout the firm and across multiple markets. Chad is integrally involved in promoting the firm’s vision and supporting our culture of open communication. As a leader, he embraces new challenges and encourages fellow team members to do the same, believing these experiences create the foundation for growth both personally and professionally. Chad was elected to serve on Clark Nexsen’s board of directors in 2018.
Chad has served as a principal-in-charge and project manager for a wide variety of project types including commercial, municipal, higher education, and federal. He currently leads our Commercial practice efforts throughout Virginia and is an active member of professional organizations such as the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE).
Chad holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware. In his free time, he enjoys coaching youth wrestling and football and explores hobbies such as woodworking.
