Clark Nexsen’s Give Local Campaign Donates $9,000 to Regional Organizations

Clark Nexsen, in partnership with the Clark Nexsen Foundation, will donate a total of $9,000 to charitable organizations across the southeast region as part of its annual Give Local Campaign. The month-long campaign saw employees from Clark Nexsen offices nominate a local 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Each office then voted on which organization would receive a $1,000 donation

“The Give Local Campaign really highlights the impact Clark Nexsen, the Clark Nexsen Foundation, and our employees have on our local communities,” said Susan Drew, CID, IIDA, LEED AP BD+C, Principal, Director of Interiors, and Clark Nexsen Foundation Board Member. “These charitable dollars will go a long way to dismantling racism, combating homelessness, restoring our ecosystems, and more.”

This is the second straight year that Clark Nexsen has held its Give Local Campaign, which has resulted in $18,000 being distributed over the past two years. During that time span, 16 different local organizations in the southeast region have received a $1,000 distribution, with two of the organizations receiving consecutive donations.

“Working for a company that supports local organizations is really amazing,” said Shelby Mitchinson, Architect, and nominator for the Holston Habitat for Humanity in Johnson City. “Efforts like the Give Local Campaign are important to our office community. It means a lot to us that Clark Nexsen is supporting the causes that we, the employees, are passionate about.

The organizations that will receive a $1,000 contribution are as follows: Building Bridges of Asheville, Asheville, NC; Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte, Charlotte, NC; Holston Habitat for Humanity, Johnson City, TN; Jay’s Hope, Macon, GA; Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, Raleigh, NC; HomeAgain, Richmond, VA; The Least of These Ministry, Roanoke, VA; Alice’s Kids, Vienna, VA; Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Virginia Beach, VA.
