Clark Nexsen Pledges $50,000 in Support of Hurricane Helene Relief
Clark Nexsen, in partnership with the Clark Nexsen Foundation, will be donating $25,000 and matching employee donations up to $25,000 to 501(c)(3) organizations aiding Hurricane Helene recovery in affected areas.
“The destruction in our communities was absolutely devastating to witness,” said Susan Drew, CID, LEED AP, Principal, Director of Interiors, and Clark Nexsen Foundation Board Member. “It was extremely rewarding to see our employees come together in all our offices to provide support to these impacted communities. Between the $25,000 donation and our employee match, I believe we will make a tremendous difference in the region.”
Of the $25,000 pledged, $15,000 has been allocated to the AIA North Carolina Hurricane Helene Relief Fund and Ashe Outreach Ministries for the distribution of supplies and to help with clean-up and repairs. This distribution was made with input from the Asheville and Johnson City offices. The remaining $10,000 will be allocated to organizations dedicated to recovery and relief.
“Experiencing this devastation has simultaneously been humbling and inspiring. We are hopeful that these contributions will help our region recover from Hurricane Helene,” said Chad Roberson, Principal, Asheville Office Leader.
Additionally, the Clark Nexsen Foundation is matching up to $25,000 of employee donations to 501(c)(3) organizations providing relief from Hurricane Helene, with $3,000 already matched. The foundation will match up to $1,000 per employee who donates to any non-profit organization providing recovery efforts in the affected areas.
