Clark Nexsen Foundation Commits $4,500 to Organizations Supporting Women and Local Communities

In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Clark Nexsen Foundation has once again committed $4,500 to nonprofits that empower women and strengthen our communities. Dividing the donation, each of the firm’s nine offices received $500 to donate to a local nonprofit of their choice.

“All of the nominated organizations play a vital role in providing women in need with access to essential resources, such as healthcare services to recovery from substance abuse, ensuring their safety, stability, and success,” said Jordan Skube, nominator of Total Action for Progress (TAP). “It’s incredibly rewarding to see our collective efforts increase the reach and impact of these deserving charities.”

The organizations receiving a $500 contribution for Clark Nexen’s second annual Women’s History Month campaign are as follows: The Junior League of Atlanta, Inc., Macon, GA; Jackson County Center for Domestic Peace, Asheville, NC; SAFE Alliance, Charlotte, NC; The Women’s Center of Wake County, Raleigh, NC; A Step Ahead Foundation, Johnson City, TN; The LighthouseRVA in Richmond, VA; Total Action for Progress (TAP) in Roanoke, VA; Women Giving Back, Vienna, VA; Samaritan House, Virginia Beach, VA.

“We are thrilled to host this campaign for a second consecutive year, solidifying it as an annual event,” said Susan Drew, CID, LEED AP, Principal, Director of Interiors, and Clark Nexsen Foundation Board Member. “Women’s History Month reminds us to celebrate women from the past and uplift women in the present. This donation is our way of supporting those in our local communities.”

Women’s History Month, established in 1987, honors the contributions, achievements, and resilience of women throughout history. Inspired by International Women’s Day, it began as a week-long celebration. Today, the President of the United States issues a proclamation recognizing March as Women’s History Month, reminding us of the progress women have made and highlighting significant accomplishments.
