Clark Nexsen Expands into Tennessee with Acquisition of Ken Ross Architects Inc.
Clark Nexsen has acquired the architecture, master planning, and interior design firm Ken Ross Architects Inc. in Johnson City, TN. This is Clark Nexsen’s first office in Tennessee, adding five professionals to the Clark Nexsen team.
“This acquisition expands our geographic presence, enabling Clark Nexsen to pursue opportunities in East Tennessee,” commented Richard Fort, Clark Nexsen Vice Principal in the firm’s Asheville, NC office, who is currently dividing his time between Asheville and Johnson City.
Founded in 1978, Ken Ross Architects’ portfolio features work throughout the Tennessee Tri-Cities area as well as projects in Texas, Arizona, and the MidAtlantic region. KRA clients include private and public organizations, including East Tennessee State University, Johnson City Schools, Greater Eastern Credit Union, and Bank of Tennessee.
The design of a $30 million K-8 elementary school in Jonesborough, TN for Town of Jonesborough / Washington County School District is already underway. This new school will serve up to 900 students while prioritizing a high level of building security.
