Annette Scott Receives the SDA Star Award
The Society for Design Administrators (SDA) recently honored Annette Scott with the 2018 Member-at-Large STAR Award for her commitment and service to the organization. She accepted the award at the SDA national conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. STAR Award winners are recognized for their continued support of SDA members and chapter fundraising and recruitment activities.
“Annette Scott is one of those members who makes things happen. As an SDA National Certification Committee member, she has always been the one to say ‘Sure, I can do that,’ or ‘I’ll be happy to take a look and see what I can do to help,’” states SDA National Vice President, Nikki Pierce. “Annette’s commitment is easily seen in her efforts to constantly improve and update the quality of the CDFA exam and study resources.”
She is a project management assistant at Clark Nexsen with more than 15 years of A/E administrative experience. Annette’s industry knowledge and patience make her a valuable trainer and mentor in the firm. She excels at providing training for new staff or staff that are transitioning into more complex and advanced administrative responsibilities.
Annette is a certified design firm administrator, a construction documents technologist, and a Green Globes professional. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from NC State University.
